YSR Jaganmohan Reddy Welfare Scheme List Andhra Pradesh 2020
The Andhra Pradesh government always aimed at the welfare of the people of the state. For this, the authority developed and implemented various schemes for the residents. The present Chief Minister of the state, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised that he will continue the same and come up with new projects, which will pave the path for the betterment of the inhabitants of the region. Here is a list of the schemes, which have been announced by the Andhra Pradesh government.
- YSR Amma Vodi Scheme
Education is an important sector that ensures the overall development of the people. In this respect, the Chief Minister announced the Amma Vodi Scheme. The primary aim of this scheme is to offer financial assistance to the school going students. The government states that the beneficiaries of this project will get a grant of Rs. 15,000 on an annual basis. The unique aspect of this scheme is the grant will be transferred in the bank account of the applicant’s mother. Only the applicants, with White Ration cards will be able to apply for this scheme. The applicants must maintain a 75% attendance to acquire this perk.
- YSR Rice Card
The implementation of the Rice Card scheme has been finalized to offer grains to the people who belong to the BPL categories. Applicants, who fall in the financially weak category, will also be allowed to become a part of this project. The beneficiaries of this scheme will be able to get collect rice from the registered ration shops in the state at Rs. 2 per kilogram. The implementation of this scheme has been done to offer food security to the needy people. Interested candidates can apply offline to get the benefits of this scheme.
- YSR Navasakam Scheme
The state government realized that the people, living in the rural areas, often miss out on the opportunities to acquire the benefits of the social and financial welfare projects. It happens due to lack of proper information. With implementation of the YSR Navasakam Scheme will put a stopper on this. The state government wants to issue new scheme beneficiary cards. Twelve different schemes have been included under this project. Rural volunteers will gather the information of the people and make a list of the respective beneficiaries. Once the list is complete, the state will issue new scheme beneficiary cards for the applicants. It will also assist the government to keep tab on the beneficiary data.
- YSR Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme
Another educational welfare project that has been implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government is the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme. It is also targeted towards those students who belong to financially weak categories. The scheme highlights that the Andhra Pradesh authority will offer full tuition fee reimbursement to the beneficiaries, if the yearly family income is less than or equal to Rs. 2.5 lakhs. The state government has made the necessary arrangements to offer the benefit to as many eligible students as possible, with a budget allocation of Rs. 3400 crore.
- YSR Arogya Asara Scheme
Treatment is an expensive proposition for those who belong to financially weak categories. The Chief Minister implemented a unique project that offers financial grant to the patients, after they have been discharged from the hospitals. A sum of Rs. 5000 will be deposited in the bank account of the beneficiary to meet the post-treatment expenses. The beneficiaries can use the money to opt for follow-up check-ups and to purchase the medicines. The state government highlights that the implementation of this project will benefit around 4.5 lakh candidates.
- YSR Vasathi Deevena Scheme
Another educational welfare scheme, targeted towards the students who reside in the hostels has been officially announced by the Andhra Pradesh government. Under the Vasathi Deevena Scheme, the state government will offer Rs. 20,000 to such beneficiaries on an annual basis. The beneficiaries can use this money to pay the hostel fee and meet the other related expenses. The state government has allocated a whopping sum of Rs. 2300 crore for the proper implementation of this scheme. The grant will be transferred in the bank account of the applicant’s mother.
- YSR Law Nestham Scheme
The national judicial system celebrated National Lawyers Day on December. The Chief Minister announced the implementation of the Law Nestham Scheme on this day, in 2019. The scheme has been targeted towards the junior advocates and lawyers, who are practice law. The scheme highlights that the beneficiaries will attain Rs. 5000 in their bank accounts. The scheme will be sponsored by the state government. The Chief Minister also stated that the financial assistance will be offered on a monthly basis. However, only those applicants will be able to apply who possess their Bar Council registration certificate. In case the applicant owns a car, then he/she will not attain the perk of this scheme.
- YSR Matsyakara Nestham Scheme
The costal location of the state encourages many to associate with the fishing activities. The Chief Minister also implemented a new scheme that has been targeted towards the betterment of the fishermen. Under YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Nestham Scheme, the registered fishermen will attain Rs. 10,000 from the state government on an annual basis. The money will be deposited in their bank accounts. An additional amount of Rs. 4000 will be given during the no-fishing period. The state government will also provide diesel at 50% subsidy to those who own their fishing vessels. These perks will be made available to the candidates who use modern as well as traditional fishing tools.
- YSR Sports Incentive Scheme
The Andhra Pradesh Sports Ministry announced the Sports Incentive Scheme, under the direction of the present Chief Minister. After the implementation of this scheme, the talented athletes, who have received medals in the national sporting events, will be given financial grant. The senior sport personalities will get Rs. 5 lakhs, Rs. 4 lakhs and Rs. 3 lakhs for winning first, second and third position respectively. The grant amount for the junior level athletes is Rs. 1.24 lakhs, Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000. The grant will encourage the sport persons to take the game seriously. The money will be offered via Direct Benefit Transfer mode, in their bank accounts.
- YSR Nethanna Nestham Scheme
The current Chief Minister implemented the Nethanna Nestham Scheme with the aim of bettering the financial state of the handloom weavers in the state. This scheme is only open for those who are associated with the Handloom Weavers Association. It has been highlighted in the scheme guidelines that the state government will offer a grant of Rs. 24,000 to the certified weavers. The financial assistance will be provided on an annual basis. The money will be transferred in the bank account. The state government will also help the weavers to attain modern weaving looms for better production.
- YSR Kanuka Pension Scheme
Financial security is necessary for the poor and vulnerable applicants. In this line, the Andhra Pradesh government launched the Kanuka Pension Scheme. The pension scheme has been launched for those who fall in the age bracket of 60 years or more. It is mandatory for the applicants to own BPL certificates. Earlier, the scheme offered a monthly pension of Rs. 2250 to the beneficiaries. Then the amount was raised to Rs. 3000. To offer transparency, the amount will be deposited in the bank account of the applicant. The handicap individuals can also apply for this benefit easily.
- YSR Aarogyasri Scheme
The poor and middle-income households can apply and attain the perks of the Aarogyasri Scheme. The scheme has been developed to ensure free treatment to the applicants. It is an insurance policy that offers free treatment to the members of the registered family. The beneficiary must apply for renewal of the policy every year. Selected applicants will get a scheme card. They can show this card at the government hospitals and opt for free treatment.
- YSR Kapu Nestam Scheme
The Chief Minister announced that he will take the necessary measures to ensure the empowerment of women of the backward communities. For this, he implemented the Kapu Nestam Scheme. The scheme targets the Telaga, kapu, Ontari and Balija community women. The selected beneficiaries will receive a grant of Rs. 15,000 from the state government. This grant will be deposited in the bank account of the respective beneficiary every year. The money will come in handy if the women want to start small scale business and earn their financial freedom. Only those female applicants who have completed the age of 45 years and have not crosses the 60 year mark will be eligible for the perks of this welfare project.
- YSR Vahan Mitra Scheme
A special financial assistance scheme has been implemented for the betterment of the auto drivers in the state. The Vahan Mitra Scheme was implemented in October 2019. The scheme highlights that the registered and license holding auto drivers will receive Rs. 10,000 from the state government. The same sum will be transferred in the account of the beneficiary every year. The auto drivers can use this cash to pay for the repair and servicing of the vehicles. They can also pay the vehicle insurance premium with this grant. It will lessen the financial burdens from the shoulders of the needy auto drivers.
- YSR Vidya Puraskar Scheme
The Andhra Pradesh government has taken various steps to encourage students. The implementation of the YSR Vidya Puraskar Scheme is one such initiative. The scheme has been targeted towards the school students who have passed the final examination of class 10 with flying colors. Applicants from the ST, OBC, SC and other minority communities will be able to apply for the financial grant. Special attention will be paid to the students who possess BPL and EWS certificates.
- YSR Kanti Velugu Scheme
The state government has taken an impressive initiative to ensure that the residents can get better eye treatment. The implementation of the Kanti Velugu Scheme was a commendable step. It is an extensive scheme and was implemented in phases. The first phase stared with the free eye check-up of the school students. Apart from eye testing, the scheme also offer free eye glasses and eye surgeries for the patients who needed them. The Chief Minister allocated a budget of Rs. 560 crore for the successful implementation of this scheme.
- YSR Adarsham Scheme
To offer better livelihood opportunities to the jobless youngsters of the state, the Chief Minister implemented the YSR Adarsham Scheme. Under this scheme, the state government will offer subsidy on the purchase of trucks. The state officials highlighted that around 6000 trucks will be distributed by the CM. Applicants, belonging to BPL and other backward castes will be able to acquire the trucks at subsidized rates from the government. It will prevent transportation monopoly, make the supply process smooth and provide a substantial income to the beneficiaries. The subsidy amount will be deposited in the bank account of the beneficiaries.
- YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme
The implementation of the YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme has been done to ensure financial and social security to the farmers in the state. The beneficiaries of this scheme will acquire Rs. 12,500 from the government each year. The money can be utilized for better crop production. Apart from this, the farmers will also attain life and accident coverage insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs. The state government will pay the insurance premium. Apart from this, the state government has also promises free electricity and irrigation facilities to the project beneficiaries. Additionally, the state government will fix the minimum selling price of the crops to safeguard the farmers from financial losses.
- YSR Navodayam Scheme
Business earns high revenue for the state and central governments. The Andhra Pradesh government wants to encourage more small and medium scale business organizations to prosper. In this respect, the state government has implemented the Navodayam Scheme. Business owners, who fall in the MSME category, will be offered a onetime grant for the development and expansion of the venture. The 50% of the scheme grant will be reserved for the female business owners. It has been mentioned in the scheme that the business owner must possess GST certification to acquire the scheme benefits.
- YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme
The YSR Pelli Kanuka Scheme has been implemented for the benefit of the brides, who come from financially weak families. The scheme guidelines highlight that the applicants from BPL and EWS categories will be able to acquire the perks. The applicants from OBC, minority, SC and ST communities can also apply for the benefits. The scheme is also open for those brides who suffer from any physical disability. The beneficiaries can attain anything between Rs. 1.5 lakhs and Rs. 50,000 for the wedding. The financial grant will depend on the category under which the applicant falls.
The Chief Minister has opined that his government will continue to come up with new welfare schemes. The respective departments have been instructed to take the necessary steps to ensure that all eligible applicants get the perks of these state-sponsored benefits.
