UP Govt announces Bharan Poshan Bhatta to Daily Wage labourers
World Health Organization or WHO has already declared that Coronavirus spread has attained a pandemic characteristic. Most countries in the Northern Hemisphere are trying to bring the situation under control. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi had addressed the nation on 19th of March, 2020. He highlighted that every individual must take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of this disease. He also announced that the Janata Curfew will become operational on Sunday morning.
Keeping in line with the central government, the state governments have prepared themselves to curb infection. The Prime Minister has asked people not to go out of their homes as much as possible. It will pave the path for financial insecurity for daily wage earners. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has announced a special scheme for the needy people.
About the scheme
The Daily Wage Scheme has been announced by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath on the 21st March, 2020. He said that all construction workers and other offices will remain closed to avoid chances of infection. Thus, the daily wage earners will face monetary issues. With the Daily Wage Scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government will offer financial aid to the needy individuals.
The Chief Minister said that construction workers and daily wage earners will be benefited from this scheme. The beneficiaries will get Rs. 1000 per day. The financial assistance will be continued till the occupational sectors start regular operations.
The state government estimates that 15 lakh daily wage earners will attain the perks. Apart from this, 20.23 lakh will be entitled to attain the daily financial assistance.
The coronavirus has claimed 10,000 lives all over the world. 23 positive patients have been detected in Uttar Pradesh. They have been quarantined, and are getting the medical treatments. Till date, there is no known vaccination or medicine to eliminate the virus. The Uttar Pradesh government has urged the common people to refrain from stocking up on food and necessary items, as there will be no shortage of these products in the market. It is best to stay away from panic and infected people.
